Went on Sunday morning, no queue / customers and was getting food for my family - asked the female staff if i can get another chocolate daifuku as there wasnt enough & she seemed annoyed at the request.
At the counter, after we paid I asked if can put my don in a separate plastic bag - though a simple request, the staff stopped and let out a big sigh before taking another plastic bag - not coming back lol

Met this chef called Pei Ling (saw her name tag) at AMK hub that gave you such an experience that you would never patronize this outlet anymore. She was taking her own sweet time of near 20 mins to arrange the food items. I asked her if I can take one pack of salmon sushi and she snapped fiercely at me that she needs to take photo of the food and I should not do so! I was patiently waiting for her to finished packing the stuff and this is the type of customer service I get.
To the management of Kuriya, please train your staff well.

I ask her but you write 1for1 but u did not write must get same favours? She said this is Japanese way! 😱OMG ! I So rude and cannot accept what she said. Will not buy anymore. Bad service!!! I don't believe this is Japan style. Sad and disappointed

Not offering any dine-in option, it is only for takeout, but the food quality was indeed very good and the service was excellent and very polite. Excellent team is running the outlet!

Have tried their sushi before and it USED TO BE fresh, tasted good, seaweed smelled good, rice had enough vinegar. This afternoon ( 30 Aug 2023), bought my usual sushi. Horrible. Seaweed and rice no taste. Unagi was rubbery, felt more like fish cake. I won't be going back any time soon for their sushi thank you.
(Edit) changed from 1 star to 4 stars because my mum got me sushi from them recently and the taste was what I remembered it to be :) I hope they keep up this standard. If so, I will edit again (if possible) and increase to 5 stars!

A great place to shop all things Japanese… I can get all the Japan items to craft a Japanese meal.

Visited Kuriya this evening wanting to grab some tamago sushi for my parents, but was unsure which type to get. Despite the busy and huge crowd in the store, the kind staff of Kuriya came over and recommended me some of their best sellers and i felt grateful. A compliment to PeiLing who helped me, your professionalism and cordial attitude brings warm to your customers heart. Thank you!

I find the food there is very nice and staff is helpful. Unlike what the earlier comment by Melissa, my encouter with the staff Pei Ling was pleasant and she is very helpful and responsible. The service she provides makes buying from this store a more recommended one than the others.

This is a small booth right outside Fairprice, at the basement of Ang Mo Kio hub. They have a lot of Japanese snacks and food options, like a marketplace, just slightly more open concept. They have very reasonably priced items available, from sauces to sushi and larger sashimi slabs. Given the high foot traffic, being located near the Fairprice checkout counters, it makes complete sense for you to swing by just to check if they have anything on sale for the evening, before heading off.
