On 11 July 2025 about 7:33 Pm, I had a very unpleasant experience with a staff member at your store. He was a Chinese man with dark skin who looked like a gangster or someone just out of prison, and his attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. While he was scanning my items, I noticed on the computer screen that there was a promotion offering a $10 discount for a minimum spend of $59.90. However, during the checkout process, he was already impatient with me. He didn’t ask me anything he was supposed to, and instead stared at me in an aggressive way that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. His bad mood seemed to be influenced by an elderly woman who was bothering a young lady at another counter. Unfortunately, he took out that frustration on me. I felt that I was being discriminated against, possibly because I am a foreigner working in Singapore.After I completed my payment, I checked my receipt and realized I did not receive the $10 discount. I went back and politely asked him, You didn’t give me the $10 discount." He replied Impatiently: What discount you? You already got over $10 off... I told him: No, that’s just the member discount. I should still get $10 off for spending at least $59.90 as on shown on the computer screen. I then asked him to check for me, but he dismissed me, saying: There is no such thing in Challenger for minimum spend discount.I said if I not wrong then he said may be you wrong..... While I was talking to him, he didn’t even look at me. He was on his phone and saying: I don’t bluff you. I’m very sure you don’t have any discount. What discount you want? At that point, I realized he had no intention of assisting me, so I walked away and approached another staff member. I explained the situation to him. This second staff member, a man with a chubby face listened patiently, checked my account, and confirmed that there was indeed a $10 discount available in my member app. He quickly solved the issue for me, and I was extremely grateful for his kindness and professionalism. I’ve been a Challenger member since 2014, and I’ve purchased many electronics over the years. I’m very disappointed with the poor service from the first staff member but also very thankful for the helpful staff who assisted me afterward.... I hope the manager will take action and improve the situation.
