Shitty service.
Reached to reopen bank account. Given a general number and waited for 1 hour+, only to be told the account can no longer be accessed & need new account.
Worse, when i am at the counter, was told that without old id/passport, I cannot do anything, despite me having photo of old id.
Is it that hard for front desk/general enquiry to check what i want first?

Only 3 counters … expect a very very long wait. Arrived when bank opened, 45min later still have 5 more customers before my no is called…

Suggest to install a bigger sign so customers know where to get Q ticket or seek over the reception counter consultation.
This helps avoid long Q.
Also, to consider special Q # for wheelchair elderly (just like UOB next door).

Now I understand the low reviews for this branch! Went there past 2 days to sort out a simple matter of changing passbook. Long story short - the encounter left me extremely frustrated with long waiting and unhelpful procedures (why need to queue to just change passbook??) went to OCBC Bishan branch - SO much better. Got it all done fast. The staff there was friendly and helpful- in future will never again go to AMK branch.

It used to be a great and efficient branch, but no idea why they reduced the number of counters and turned this branch into a book store instead??? Only 3 counters now, 1 counter is not in service, 1 counter serving personal banking customers, 1 counter serving other type of customers. There are more than 20 personal banking customers in queue and waiting for just 1 counter. Elder folks will be served first due to priority queue. Therefore, the queue time can easily go above 2 hours. You will notice many people just left and gave up the queue in the end. In conclusion, this branch is not meant to serve customers. I've no idea what is the purpose of this branch with huge spaces.
