Really want to give a 0 star rating if it is possible. I have queued for half an hour to apply for a credit card but instead got a debit card which I only found out afterwards when I was trying to apply for instalment for my purchase. It was a bespectacled petite lady in her early 20s who attended to me, I can still recall her blatant indifference and inattentiveness when I firmly, repeatedly, told her I wanted a credit card that can be used for instalments, not a debit card. She was evidently uninterested and uncommitted for her job.
I thought it was abnormal that she did not ask for my particulars or payslip to assess my financial condition but did not think too much of it at that moment. It is really dreadful and worrying to think about the fact that such an absent-minded person is in charge of a lot of people's monetary matters. I question UOB's recruitment standards...

When I entered the bank, I was in a really difficult situation. Being new to Singapore, I faced several issues in opening my bank account. Without the help of Manager Miss Margaret, I would not have been able to open my account. She was the one who patiently helped me solve my problems, eagerly assisted me, and arranged everything for me in one go. I truly appreciate her kindness, as she even helped calm me down when I was feeling depressed. Not only her, but Miss Kah Mun also played a big role in helping me open my account. She is a very kind and helpful person. Next, I would like to mention Miss Viky Soh, I would give her a 10/10 rating for her assistance. She helped me immediately, processed my application quickly, and explained every detail clearly. Her work was neat and professional, and she was very pleasant to interact with. I am truly overwhelmed and grateful for all their help. Lastly, I would like to thank Jaydon, who assisted me in activating my card and opening my account as well. I am very appreciative of the professional, kind, and thoughtful service I had received recently at the Ang Mo Kio branch of UOB. As a foreign national, opening a bank account is time consuming and tedious at best; however, Ms. Penny Chan made it a good experience with her patience, explanations, and thoroughness. The seamless teamwork that these branch officers have was evident in Ms Chan bringing in Ms Lynnets Toh to help and answer questions about my setting up electronic transfers from a recurring income source in my home country to my account in Singapore.
At that time, Ms Toh was not familiar with the third-party paperwork that my income source required but promised to get back with me to help sort it out successfully. True to her promise, Ms Toh followed through and had the form provided filled, printed, and ready for my collection, within a short period of time. The time she spent in, not only listening to my situation and needs, but taking personal ownership in researching and solving the issues concerning my requests was considerable and most appreciated.
I was, and am, extremely impressed with both Ms Toh and Ms Chan as well as other branch employees involved with my account opening. I am looking forward to working with this branch of UOB and the fine people that staff it in future transactions and to help fulfill any future financial needs.

Due to my hearing disabilities from both ears today I was really glad and appreciate the patience and kind hearted customer services from Ms Janice Yee. Not only writing the explaination of the usage of the new VISA card application usage due to my failed UOB phone app payments towards Starhub bills. Ms Janice Yee had went the extra mile service for using the AXS payment machine near the bank to clarify how i could alternatively make payment by demonstrated make that payment choice to Starhub that method too.
