To qualify. This review is not on the chain and its offerings but is specifically on the SG60 weekday breakfast promo meal. Totally disappointed with the version of eggs and kaya/butter toast. Dare say most hawker coffee stalls can make a better version. The Americano wasn't good also. Would suggest CBTL to stick to its core strength of western food. Otherwise, service and ambience was great. Hopefully they change the menu soon!

Date of visit : Sun 29 Sep 2024 Time : 1.45 pm First time here. Came here for a dessert and a drink. Ordered the Pandan Gula Melaka and a California Surprise. The drink is good. The cake is a tad too dry. Maybe refrigerated for too long.

This is Shokupan Toast and Egg Platter, price $15.50. It’s basically 2 slices of not so toast white bread, sunny side up, and a slice of a very processed ham. And some greens on the side. I waited almost 30 mins for it one fine Friday lunch. The place was not full at that time. I am the only one waiting for an order. So imagine my surprise to see that this is the Shokupan Toast I have waited for half an hour. Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, wow, you never fail to disappoint me. Bravo..👏

I walked in to get 3 slices of cake. The guy who took my order apparently seemed to be a newbie cos he took time to take my order order went to ask the other staff, mgr ame nurynI presume how to key in. Thereafter she took time to teach him how to take the cakes from the ice box and how to put them inside the box, all at the expense of my time. I would have probably stand there about 10 mins waiting for these when she could have easily done it herself. Wrong timing esp during peak hour when we need to rush back home. I dont blame the new staff but rather the manager.

The fruit is sour, the waffles are frozen and very dry, and the whole plate costs $16.5. Only the eggs are fresh. It's really easy to make money from consumers these days.

Tldr had great service from the team. Decent mocha cold brew, perks you up. I always champion CBTL over the other brand and this outlet doesn't disappoint. Good and flexible customer service with prompt drinks preparation. Would come here to chill overnight if they keep it up.

Went for the Mon-fri breakfast $10 for 2 sets. The bagel was nice and filling while the M size latte is satisfying. Really a bang for the buck. Will definitely visit again

The drink “Skinny Chendol Ice Blended” was quite misleading. From the digital menu image at the outlet, it was hard to tell that it contained any coffee at all. The name and photo made it seem more like a dessert beverage. It would really help if the drink description or visual was clearer, so customers know what to expect.

In both occasions I had the delight of a particular blonde girl, called ‘Slaywong’ i believe, to make my original mocha ice blended. Very scrumptious. Not watery, and looks amazing.

Very big outlet, simple & clean design. Easy to get seat if compare other cafe; I guess bcos they have written for dine-in is 60 minutes (but I seated 1.30 hrs they didn’t come can chase as there still have seats available 😜) …
