AMK Hub National Day Weekend: Chingay Float and Community Memories
AMK Hub celebrates National Day weekend with a community photo collage and the first-ever roving Chingay education truck. The events take place on 8 and 9 August across two locations in the mall. The mall's August calendar also marks 11 and 12 August as highlighted dates.
Community Photo Collage at B1 Atrium
A collage of cherished moments will be on display at the B1 Atrium from 8 to 9 August. The exhibition features photos contributed by residents over the years, offering visitors a walk through shared community memories.
My Little Chingay Float at Outdoor Atrium
On 9 August, the Outdoor Atrium will host the My Little Chingay Float, the first-ever roving Chingay education truck. Visitors can catch the float up close and learn about Singapore's vibrant Chingay heritage through this travelling showcase.
Singapore NDP 2026 Fireworks Across the Sky
For the first time in a decade, the National Day Parade returns to the National Stadium at Kallang for Singapore's 61st birthday on Sunday, 9 August 2026. The theme for SG61 is Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond, and the show celebrates the nation's progress with a grand celebration at the sports hub.
The fireworks display launches over the Kallang Basin, with early bursts from about 7:30pm and the grand finale between 8:10pm and 8:30pm. The 2026 parade also features an indoor drone light show with more than 300 drones, the first-ever of its kind within the stadium, alongside an expanded special effects production.
Ang Mo Kio residents can catch the aerial fireworks live around Kallang Basin. The closest free public vantage points are the Stadium Riverside Walk, Tanjong Rhu Promenade and Kallang Riverside Park, each offering clear sightlines across the water to the launch site. For those staying closer to home, the parade is broadcast live on Mediacorp Channel 5 and mewatch from the evening.
AMK Hub extends its National Day weekend through 9 August with the community photo collage at B1 Atrium and the My Little Chingay Float at the Outdoor Atrium, so shoppers can round off the day with a festive evening around the neighbourhood.
